About Kaleb
Goal: ⭐ To become a World Champion
Kaleb Cave, born October 7, 2005, in Columbia, Maryland, USA, is an American power tumbler and diver, nicknamed "Lub", who holds the record as the world's youngest athlete to perform a standing double backflip. He was introduced to gymnastics at age seven by his uncle DeAndre Cave, who taught him his first backflip. After an adventurous start that included somersaulting off the family sofa and cracking his head on the coffee table, his mother enrolled him in gymnastics classes in 2014. He quickly moved from artistic gymnastics to trampoline and power tumbling, drawn by the explosive, high-flying nature of the discipline. Inspired initially by Gabby Douglas, he developed rapidly into one of America's most exciting tumbling talents. A member of the USA Gymnastics Senior National Team in Trampoline & Tumbling, Cave has competed at multiple FIG World Championships, including Sofia 2022 and Nanjing 2026, where he aims to qualify for the individual tumbling final and contribute to a US team medal. He trains at Dynamite Gymnastics and attends the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) where he studies Mechanical Engineering and competes as a varsity diver — a dual athletic commitment that showcases his extraordinary body awareness and cross-discipline athleticism. In 2025 he suffered an Achilles tendon tear but made a rapid comeback in time for the 2025-26 season. With over 140,000 Instagram followers under the handle lub._lub, he has built a significant social media community around his tumbling content, combining elite sport with music production, painting, and an infectious personality....
